Late Night Musso’s
For the first time in Musso~Frank history, doors now stay open until 2 am on Friday and Saturday nights. The restaurant, which traditionally closed at 11 pm, now dims the lights and vintage music, from the collection of proprietor Jordan Jones, fills the air. The bar serves the same classic drinks, and now Hors D’Oeuvres may be ordered table side. The atmosphere is cozy, with a blend of old and au courant Hollywood.

Jordan,
Late Night Musso’s is a great idea!!!
Thanks for nine decades in Hollywood. Let’s have Manny mix a “Chaplin” and raise a toast with the world’s best martini, to 2010 and another 90 years in Hollywood.

Dear Jordan
The last time we dined at Musso’s (November 18, 2009), we had a lovely experience as per usual.
However our experience in the parking lot was not so lovely.
It was a Wednesday night, the restaurant was not crowded, but the service was a bit slow.
Even so, our party of 4 was enjoying the experience, and we stayed a bit over the time limit for the Musso validation (5 minutes to be exact).
Imagine our surprise (and chagrin) when the parking lot attendant tried to charge us an additional $5 for the 5 minutes we stayed in the restaurant over the limit.
I gave they fellow the amount of the validation and a couple of bucks more as a tip, but I refused to pay the $5 extra, and wished him happy holidays. He grudgingly accepted this.
After this incident, I began to wonder if it has occurred to you that your patrons might be annoyed that after spending more than $200 for dinner and drinks, that they are then gouged at the parking lot.
BTW if you want people to come drink, hang and listen to music as you mentioned in the LA Times article, these exorbitant parking fees could really be an impediment to having fun.
I sincerely urge you to loosen up your parking lot situation for your loyal customers, because incidents like this cause at least this one to think twice about patronizing a place that I truly love.
Would be interested in hearing your thoughts on this.
Sincerely
Michael & Abbe

My Father was a waiter at musso for over 38 years. He passed away in 2004. I wish you could find an old picture of him at the musso and post it on your site. His Name was Joel E. Salas

As a boy my father managed the Vogue and the Hollywood I recall the late 50’s growing up around Hollywood. Musso and Franks stood out to me even as a child, I recall Raymond Burr, Allen Hale Jr but not as well as the waiters and staff who were an endless source of entertainment to a young boy whom they delighted in causing to laugh uncontrollably when no one was looking. What fun to be so improper when encouraged by those who I saw as so proper. We would always parked in back and enter thru the rear so as to stop and wish Jaen a good evening on our way home. For me this was truly the highligt of the night, he thanking us for comming and looking foward to seeing us again. Ahh… for one more of those nights from so long ago…

Just got this link from TubeFilter who will be mingling here following another event on May 7. I will be at nearby (I think?) W Hollywood Hotel for a Happy Hour 7 – 9PM and came here to look for your address. Suggestion: make it easy to find.
Congrats on putting up WordPress website.

A reply to Michael & Abbe … Parking anywhere in the area is a pain … suck up the $5.00 spot and come back soon. I would gladly pay 15 – 20 bucks any night to enjoy all that Musso and Frank has to offer. You can not put a price tag on Classic Hollywood!

It is great to see the Musso and Franks still going strong, even though I never got to eat dinner with my dad at this awesome place I did however get to to drink coffee and eat a muffin for breakfast from time to time in the early 80’s with a boss of mine who did the plumbing and electrical work for the restaurant. His name was Bill Marchebout. I believe that is how he spelled it, only been since 1984 to remember that name lol.
In case you didn’t get to hear it mentioned, the main character in the CBS TV show Moonlight made a comment about before being turned into a Vampire, how he use to love the Prime Rib from Musso’s.
Looking forward to maybe one day getting to bring my wife and enjoying a dinner.
